SEMAE

SEMAE is a French interbranch organisation for seed and planting materials. It gathers professional organisations dealing with plant breeding, seed production, seed manufacturing, seed sale and seed utilisation by farmers. In 2021, a new section will gather with the issue of ''diversity of seeds''.

Since 2018, SEMAE is providing funding at national level through a new dedicated Funds for collections and biodiversity as weel as at international level through the benefit sharing funds of the plant treaty (ITPGRFA). The total amount of funding is 350.000 euros per year.
