CIHEAM (International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies)

Founded in 1962, the CIHEAM has been devoted to the sustainable development of agriculture and fisheries, food and nutrition security and rural and coastal areas in the Mediterranean. Along with the UN development Action Plan, their activities contribute to the development of a global, innovative and committed vision for the Mediterranean. All the activities of CIHEAM are based on a bottom-up collaboration approach and are problem solving oriented, in relation with the specific needs of the countries.
